Why gates matter more here
Two features of Valencia keep gates from being an afterthought. Start with the neighborhoods. Woodlands, Tesoro del Valle, and Tesoro Highlands are gated communities, and homeowners inside them generally want their own drive held to the same standard of privacy and security. A walk gate off the paseo or a private drive gate reads as part of the village fabric here rather than an addition. Second, the driveways. Operators, and who gets through

On a hillside, power is the practical problem.
